Sadly, Joy MacFadyen passed away on Tuesday, 7 June, 2022.
A few weeks earlier (April) she had been nominated for the
2022 Toronto Arts Foundation Awards, category: Celebration of Cultural Life Award.
Joy didn't win, but was extremely proud that she had been nominated for this prestigious Award.
A Big Thank You to the members of the Art Guild of Scarborough for creating the
Joy MacFadyen Free Spirit Award, for artists in the Scarborough community.
